Transferring from another KiwiSaver Scheme
Already belong to a KiwiSaver scheme but want to switch to Aon KiwiSaver Scheme? We will take care of this for you.
Simply complete our online application form which uses an electronic service to verify your identity by checking your information against external databases.
Before you get started, please make sure the device you are using to complete the form has a camera. You will be asked to take a photo of yourself and a photo of your identity document so we can compare them and verify your identity.
You will also need to have the following information handy:
Your IRD Number. You can find this on your payslip, on letters or statements from Inland Revenue or by logging in to your myIR Secure Online Services account.
Some current identification, either a New Zealand Passport or a current New Zealand Driver Licence. This allows us to verify your identity electronically.
Your Prescribed Investor Rate (PIR). We use the PIR to pay tax on your behalf on any investment earnings. You can find out more about PIRs here.
If you don’t have one of the identification documents mentioned above, or you'd rather not complete the online application form, you can apply by completing the application form in the Aon KiwiSaver Scheme Product Disclosure Statement.

Online application form - security
Copies of identity documents are not stored by Aon or by the scheme administrator, Link Market Services Limited (“Link”). Only the results of the verification are recorded by Link on behalf of Aon.
Personal details on the online application form are uploaded to Link and then you are taken to the Verifi system for identity verification. The Verifi system holds the information for 7 days and then it is purged.
Upon submission of your application, all application information and identity verification results are securely delivered to Link. All data is purged from the online application platform after 30 days and transferred to Link’s administration platform.
All personal details and identity documents are encrypted for security while being sent between agencies.
Want to transfer money from an Australian complying superannuation scheme?
If you currently have money with an Australian complying superannuation scheme and want to transfer it to Aon KiwiSaver Scheme, you’ll need to complete the steps below:
- Contact your Australian superannuation scheme to find out their requirements and their process on how to apply for a transfer of your Australian superannuation funds to your KiwiSaver Scheme. If you have more than one Australian super account, you will need to contact each scheme.
- Complete the forms required by your Australian superannuation scheme and return them, along with any required documentation, so they can enable the transfer.
- If you are not already a member of Aon KiwiSaver Scheme you’ll need to complete the online application form.
Once we receive the money from your Australian superannuation scheme, we may require you to complete an Anti-Money Laundering form and provide identity documentation.

Transferring money from KiwiSaver to an Australian complying superannuation scheme
If you’d like to transfer your KiwiSaver money to an Australian complying superannuation scheme you’ll need to first contact the Australian scheme and check they are able to receive the transfer before getting in touch with us.
